The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program is a scholarship that sends 20 students from Ghana to the United States each year. Students live with American host families, attend an American high school, participate in activities, and share their culture. The program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by AFS/IEP- Ghana in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Accra.
Eligibility Criteria
The competition is open to students who are:
- in their first year of Senior High School
- attending schools in in the Upper East Region, the Upper West Region, or the Northern Region
- born between October 31, 2000 and August 1, 2003.
- holding a valid Ghanaian passport or are ready to acquire one
- exhibiting strong leadership skills
- of good conduct

Application Process
Interested students are expected to take an aptitude test on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. prompt.
